The general cause for acne is to do with hair, as it’s formed when the follicle passageways are blocked. How bad the blockage actually is will determine the type of conditions you experience. The blockages are formed due to large amounts of sebum, aka skin oil, being released and also dead skin cells. Additionally, if a comedone or a blackhead is produced it is named an open comedone. There is, however, a condition where a comedone can be closed, beneath the skins surface.
